Dabo Swinney has a great recruiting class coming to Clemson.

Fresh off the momentum of three consecutive postseason wins over LSU, Ohio State and Oklahoma, Clemson has reeled in one of the nation’s premier recruiting classes. Head coach Dabo Swinney has inked a versatile, dynamic group capable of helping the Tigers compete at a national level. Clemson’s 2015 recruiting class stands as one of college football’s best.

This most recent haul adds momentum to a team that will have lofty expectations this fall.

A number of Clemson’s high-profile signees were long-time verbal commitments to the program. Offensive lineman Mitch Hyatt, a blue-chip legacy recruit, pledged to the Tigers nearly one full year ago. Star speedsters Deon Cain and Ray-Ray McCloud III committed before the start of their senior seasons. In all, 18 players out of Clemson’s class made their decisions last summer or before. Four prospects chose the Tigers in 2013.

As usual, Clemson had recruiting success in the state of Florida. Cain, McCloud and offensive lineman Jake Fruhmorgen are all Tampa-natives. Tight end Garrett Williams is from Orlando.

Per ESPN.com, the Tigers boast the nation’s third-ranked recruiting class, trailing only Alabama and Florida State. Clemson signed 13 players slotted in the ESPN 300. Rivals.com also has the Tigers ranked in the national top five.

Clemson is a program with great energy. The Tigers are one just four schools in college football to have won at least ten games four seasons in a row. Led by talented quarterback Deshaun Watson, a former elite prospect himself, Clemson has the potential to be in the mix for a spot in next year’s College Football Playoff. Swinney and his staff have done a great job of showcasing that enthusiasm.

As the Tigers continue to pursue championships, their most recent recruiting class will help them do just that.
