Southeast Georgia lineman prospect Tyrone Riley commits to the ‘Cats.

Calvary Day School defensive end Tyrone Riley has verbally committed to play football for Mark Stoops and Kentucky. A 6’6”, 245-pound talent, Riley plays both ways as a standout for the Cavaliers, who are the top seed in Georgia’s class A private school bracket at 11-0 and advanced to the state championship game a year ago.

With his rare combination of size, speed and strength, Riley is a dominant defensive player for Calvary Day. He also plays tight end for the Cavaliers and is used frequently in the passing game.

Riley is long, lean and has the tools to play multiple positions.

“I’m so excited for Tyrone. He is such a humble young man,” explained Calvary Day School Athletic Director Chad Griffin. “Kentucky has done one of the best jobs recruiting him, they have been down here several times. It’s a great fit. He is a basketball player and will enjoy four years of watching Kentucky basketball as well.”

Riley chose the Wildcats over offers from Mississippi State, Missouri, Ole Miss, North Carolina State and others.
