Hendon Hooker named SEC Offensive Player of the Week

Hendon Hooker has been named SEC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance against Florida.

Hooker dominated on Saturday, throwing for 349 yards and 2 touchdowns, while rushing for 112 yards and another score. The senior quarterback led the Volunteers to a 38-33 win over Florida, their first since 2016. Tennessee scored touchdowns on 4 consecutive drives during a crucial stretch in the 2nd and 3rd quarters.

On the year, Hooker has thrown for 1,193 yards and 8 touchdowns without throwing an interception. Hes also rushed for 175 yards and 3 touchdowns.

No. 8 Tennessee will face LSU at noon in Death Valley on October 8th, following this weeks bye.
