South Carolina beats Auburn 30-22.

1. That's a big win for Will Muschamp. South Carolina's late defensive stands against Auburn gives the Gamecocks a win over a top 15 team and moves South Carolina back to .500 overall. After a disappointing start to the season, albeit against two top 20 opponents, the Gamecocks have bounced back in a strong way. Muschamp and South Carolina now have some major momentum moving forward.

2. Turnovers were the story of the day as the Gamecocks intercepted Auburn's Bo Nix three times. Standout defensive back Jaycee Horn had two of those picks for South Carolina. The trio of interceptios, including Jaylin Dickerson's, all setup touchdowns for the Gamecocks. Those plays were the difference in a one score victory.

3. Running back Kevin Harris continues to be productive. He paced South Carolina offensively with 83 yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries. Harris now has over 400 yards and six touchdowns on the ground this season. Yards were hard to come by, but he was the focal point of the attack and came through twice in the redzone. Shai Smith also had a highlight reel touchdown catch.

4. South Carolina punter Kai Kroeger did a really nice job and impacting the game in a big way. He kicked five times for 242 yards, an average of 48.4 yards per try, and importantly downed three punts inside the Auburn 20-yard line. Field position was an important factor in the Gamecocks' win.

5. The Tigers had almost 500 yards of total offense, but Nix's interceptions were quite costly. Auburn also had nine penalties for 89 yards. Such mistakes must be improved upon. Kicker Daniel Carlson had a productive afternoon.
