Despite his inexperience, Jake Fromm will continue to be calm in the clutch.

Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm has been more than just "good for a true freshman", he's been good; better than good, in fact. Entering the SEC Championship Game, Fromm ranks sixth in the country with a passer rating of 167.72, ahead of the likes of J.T. Barrett, Lamar Jackson and his Saturday-counterpart Jarrett Stidham. While Fromm has not been the focus of the Bulldogs' offense, he hasn't been just dinking-and-dunking, either: Fromm ranks fifth in all of college football with 9.6 yards per pass attempt.

The true freshman will step onto one of the game's biggest stages on Saturday, an SEC Championship Game rematch with Auburn. Back on November 11th, Fromm was not as his best, with 13-28 passing, in a 40-17 loss to the Tigers. Such moments have been few and far between.

Fromm enters Saturday's showdown completing 62.5% of his passes with six touchdowns and just one interception in his last four games. Against rival Georgia Tech, Fromm had the most efficient outing of his career: 224 yards and two scores on 12-of-16 attempts. The Fromm-led Georgia attack has scored 80 points the past two weeks, punting only a total four times in wins over the Yellow Jackets and Kentucky.

Despite his inexperience, Fromm will continue to be calm in the clutch. It's there where he has been his best. Fromm has the second-highest fourth quarter passer rating of any quarterback in the country, leading all power five signal callers with a mark of 201.36.

To date, the Bulldogs have played just one game decided by less than 14 points. That night, a 20-19 win at nationally-ranked Notre Dame, Fromm was effective on a late fourth quarter scoring drive. With Georgia trailing 19-17, he was 3-for-4 passing for 46 yards in helping to setup a game-winning 30-yard field goal by Rodrigo Blakenship. In the signature win of the Bulldogs' season, Fromm played a critical role.

Though Georgia will undoubtedly try to establish its ground game this weekend, it's likely Fromm will need to come through with some big plays for UGA to win. In the first meeting with Auburn, the Bulldogs mustered just 46 yards rushing.

Fromm has been tremendous this fall, both energizing and stabilizing his team on a championship run. The spotlight of Saturday is one he has earned and one he will embrace.
