KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) 4 Quarterback Sheriron Jones has returned to Tennessee after a brief transfer to Colorado.

Tennessee athletic department spokesman Ryan Robinson said Wednesday that Jones has re-enrolled at the school.

Colorado announced Friday it had released Jones from his scholarship so that he could return to Tennessee. Robinson said at the time he couldn’t confirm anything until Tennessee received official paperwork granting Jones’ release from Colorado.

Jones redshirted in 2015 and has four seasons of eligibility remaining. Jones was rated as a consensus four-star recruit when he signed with Tennessee.
