Ben Dupree had a big game through the air and on the ground in leading The Citadel to a win over Elon.

nOffensive Player of the week: Ben Dupree QB/ The Citadel

nDupree out-dueled Mike Quinn and the Elon passing offense by throwing for a game-high 166 yards and a touchdown on four-of-six passing.xc2xa0 He ran for another 66 yards and three scores on the ground, exhibiting his true dual-threat abilities.

nDefensive Player of the Week: Marcus McMorris DB/ Furman

nMcMorris and the rest of the Furman defense did a great job of limiting Samfordxe2x80x99s big passing plays and making the Bulldogs work for every yard.xc2xa0 He finished the game with a loaded stat sheet that included a sack, fumble recovery, 11 tackles and an 89-yard interception return for a touchdown which clinched the win.

nSpecial Teams Player of the Week: Nick Pollard K-P/ Chattanooga

nPollard connected on field goals of 29 and 42 yards during Chattanoogaxe2x80x99s 20-10 title-clinching victory over Wofford.xc2xa0 He also averaged 54.7 yards on three punts and pinned one inside the Terrier 20-yard line.

nCoach of the Week: Russ Huesman/ Chattanooga

nHuesman led the Mocs to their first Southern Conference title in 29 seasons, and was able to accomplish it with a complete team effort from both sides of the ball.xc2xa0 He brings a title back to the school where he won two Southern titles as a player in 1978 and 1979.

nX-Factor of the Week: Georgia Southern Homecoming/Senior Day

nIt was an emotional day for Georgia Southernxe2x80x99s crowd and players, as the senior class was honored in its final home game.xc2xa0 The Eagles were also playing their final home contest in the Southern Conference and said goodbye in grand fashion with a convincing 35-19 win over Western Carolina.
