The week three Southern Pigskin SoCon award winners.

nSoCon Offensive Player of the Week: DeMarcus Ware, Samford — Rushed 26 times for 118 yards and three touchdowns, adding three catches, in the Bulldogs’ 42-37 win over Western Carolina.

nSoCon Defensive Player of the Week: Kareem Taylor, Western Carolina — Recorded ten total tackles, one sack, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery for a touchdown in the Catamounts’ 42-37 loss to Samford.

nSoCon Special Teams Player of the Week: Aaron Sears, Chattanooga — Made 3-of-3 field goals, with a long of 43 yards in the Mocs’ 28-23 loss to Kentucky.

nSoCon Coach of the Week: Rusty Wright, Chattanooga — The Mocs outrushed Kentucky 172 yards to 101 in their 28-23 loss to the Wildcats.

nSoCon Belt X-Factor of the Week: Jalen Porter, East Tennessee State — Compiled seven total tackles and four sacks in the Bucs’ 38-6 win over Delaware State.
