The Southern Conference's top performers during week two.

Offensive Player(s) of the Week: Devlin Hodges & Kelvin McKnight, Samford -- Hodges found McKnight for 215 of his 475 yards and both touchdowns while coming up just short in their upset bid of Power Five FBS foe Florida State.

Defensive Player of the Week: Ahmad Gooden, Samford -- Gooden compiled six tackles, 1.5 for a loss, a sack, a pass breakup, and a QB hurry against FSU.

Special Teams Player of the Week: Reed King, VMI -- King punted eight times for an average of 44.9 yards per punt, three of which went 50+ yards, and landing four inside the 20-yard line in the Keydets' loss to Wofford.

Coach of the Week: Chris Hatcher, Samford -- Hatcher led his Bulldogs into Doak Campbell stadium to take on traditional FBS power Florida State and came up just shy of doing the unthinkable before ultimately falling 26-36 to the 'Noles.

X-Factor of the Week: Bryce Nunnelly, Chattanooga -- Nunnelly caught ten passes for 268 yards and two scores, and also threw the game winning touchdown pass on a trick play to help beat The Citadel 29-28 in overtime.
