Georgia’s Bowers garners award following Saturday’s performance.
Brock Bowers has been named the SECs Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in Georgias 48-7 win at South Carolina.
The sophomore tight end hauled in 5 receptions for 121 yards and 2 touchdowns, to go along with a 5-yard rushing score.
Bowers has become one of the biggest names in the sport. His abilities have pro scouts drooling. ESPNs Matt Miller commented on Twitter cx8bx8bBrock Bowers would be a top 10 pick in this year’s draft. But he’s not eligible until 2024.d
Saturday was a great encapsulation of what Bowers can do. He scored in three very different ways:
- 5-yard reverse
- 6-yard jump ball
- 78-yard catch and run
Pro scouts may be fighting to get into position to draft Bowers, but college DCs will have to deal with the star for at least the next two years.
