Stetson Bennett just did something a Georgia quarterback hasn’t done since 2013

Stetson Bennett was phenomenal again on Saturday, throwing for 284 yards and 2 scores to go along with a rushing touchdown, in just over 2 quarters of work.

Bennett has now thrown for 952 and 5 touchdowns in 3 games. The last Georgia quarterback to match that mark: Aaron Murray (1,040) in 2013.

The amazing thing is Bennett has done this without really playing in the second half at all this year. In theory, he is averaging closer to 450 yards per game in terms of actual time played.

Georgia offensive coordinator has engineered a machine around his 6th-year senior quarterback, and Bennett has executed the plan to a lethal degree.

In total, 8 different receivers caught passes from Stetson Bennett on Saturday.

A year ago, Bennett was filling in for an injured JT Daniels while fans seemingly pulled against him.

Now, Georgia fans are holding their breath everytime they see Bennett get banged up, because they know the truth now: Georgia is no longer winning in spite of Stetson Bennett. They’re winning because of him.
