Nick Saban’s contract extension jumps him to $11.7 million per year
Nick Saban is once again the highest paid coach in college football (that we know of). Saban, the 7-time National Champion, contract has been extended through the 2029 season. He will be 78 at the end of the deal.
The raise, approved by the Alabama Board of Trustees, will see Sabans salary increase to an average of $11.7 million over the life of the deal. That jumps him over his former protege Kirby Smart, who received his own raise, to $11.25 million, following Georgias title win over Sabans Alabama.
Were pretty sure this bumps Saban to the top of the list of highest paid coaches in the sport, were just not 100% (Dang private schools). Its been reported that Lincoln Riley is making north of $10 million at USC, but because theyre a private institution, theyre not required to make that information public.
