The week two Southern Pigskin players of the week in the SEC.
SEC Offensive Player of the Week: Chris Rodriguez, Kentucky — Ran 27 times for 206 yards and three touchdowns, adding a five-yard touchdown catch, in the Wildcats’ 35-28 win over Missouri.
SEC Defensive Player of the Week: Damani Staley, South Carolina — Recorded four total tackles and a 63-yard interception return for a touchdown in the Gamecocks’ 20-17 win over East Carolina.
SEC Special Teams Player of the Week: Parker White, South Carolina — Converted two fourth quarter field goal attempts, including a 36-yard game-winner as time expired in the Gamecocks’ 20-17 win over East Carolina.
SEC Coach of the Week: Sam Pittman, Arkansas — The Razorbacks opened with 16 unanswered points and outgained Texas 471 yards to 256 in their 40-21 win over the Longhorns.
SEC X-Factor of the Week: Stetson Bennett, Georgia — Completed 10-of-12 passes for 288 yards and five touchdowns in the Bulldogs’ 56-7 win over UAB.
