Will Anderson has been named the SEC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance against Vanderbilt.
Anderson, a Heisman dark horse to many, only played 24 snaps in Alabamas 55-3 win over Vanderbilt, but he made the most of them, totaling 5 tackles, 3 for a loss, and 2.5 sacks.
The future-top 5 pick will have to be big for the Tide as they head into the toughest portion of their schedule. Alabama heads to No. 20 Arkansas this week, then will face No. 17 Texas A&M at home, before heading to Rocky Top to take on No. 8 Tennessee.
On the year, Will Anderson has totaled 20 tackles, 7.5 for a loss, and 4.5 sacks.
