A look at the top ten prep quarterbacks in the Southern Pigskin coverage area and where they are headed.

Brandon Allen, 6’2”, 214, Fayetteville, Arkansas
A very accurate thrower who will be a good fit for the offensive system of Bobby Petrino. Allen can make all of the throws and is calm in the pocket. He isn’t the biggest prospect but his live arm makes up for any slight in stature.

Teddy Bridgewater, 6’2”, 180, Miami, Florida
Bridgewater is a known commodity, having been a multi-year starter for power high school Miami Northwestern. He has great skills but may need to add some bulk before settling in at the college level. Bridgewater is already at Louisville.

Jacoby Brissett, 6’5”, 225, West Palm Beach, Florida
Physically, few signal callers are most impressive. He has the build of some high school defensive ends. Can make plays both throwing and running the football. Will pick between Miami, Washington and Wisconsin.

Jeff Driskel, 6’4”, 225, Oviedo, Florida
This future-Gator has it all: size, speed, arm strength, athleticism. His talents were on full display in the Under Armor All-American game. Driskel is the best prep quarterback prospect in the nation and it may not even be close.

Kiehl Frazier, 6’3”, 215, Springdale, Arkansas
Committed to the defending national champion Auburn Tigers, Frazier has the size-speed combination you look for. At 6’3”, 215 pounds, he everything you want in a premier prospect at the position.

Everrett Golson, 6’0”, 170, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
Talented athlete is already enrolled at Notre Dame, giving him a leg up on other freshmen. Was wanted by all of the major programs but will look to give Brian Kelly’s offense a boost. His speed is elite.

Christian LeMay, 6’2”, 195, Mint Hill, North Carolina
Long regarded as one of the top high school quarterbacks in the nation, LeMay is an early enrollee in Athens and will participate in spring practice. He is a good athlete and brings great versatility to the quarterback position.

Tony McNeal, Clemson, 6’1”, 190, Chester, South Carolina
McNeal has been committed to Dabo Swinney and the Clemson Tigers since January of 2010 and is an early enrollee. At 6’1”, he can make plays on the run and improvising out of the pocket.

DaMarcus Smith, 6’1”, 180, Louisville, Kentucky
Smith is committed to the hometown Cardinals and will come to the program with fellow high-profile signal caller Teddy Bridgewater. Smith is a little undersized but is a dynamic athlete who is dangerous with the football in his hands.

Marquise Williams, 6’3”, 218, Charlotte, North Carolina
This future Tar Heel has a good build and is an impressive athlete. Williams is an early enrollee so he will have a chance to participate in spring practice in Chapel Hill. The in-state talent comes to the flagship with a lot of hype.
