D’Antne Demery, who is listed at 6-6, 319 pounds, becomes the eleventh commitment in the class of 2017 for Kirby Smart’s Bulldogs.
Four-star offensive tackle D’Antne Demery out of Brunswick High School in Brunswick, Georgia, brought his recruitment to an end on Wednesday afternoon, announcing his verbal commitment to the Georgia Bulldogs.
Demery’s announcement came shortly after the completion of the first ever Golden Isles Exposure Camp, a satellite camp that was held at Brunswick High School and led by the University of Georgia coaching staff and other college coaches from the region.
Receiving double-digit offers from some of the nation’s top college programs, Demery had narrowed his choices down to Georgia and Alabama heading into Wednesday’s event. He was considered to be a heavy Georgia lean by most scouting experts, and the fact that Georgia’s coaching staff was present at the camp only served to further the speculation that Demery would decide to be a Bulldog.
His decision to commit to Georgia comes less than two months after his teammate, four-star wide receiver Shawn Smith, announced that he had verbally committed to South Carolina.
Demery, who is listed at 6-6, 319 pounds, becomes the eleventh commitment in the class of 2017 for Kirby Smart’s Bulldogs. He will line up at offensive tackle for Georgia when he enrolls in Athens.
