Class of 2017 four-star athlete Deejay Dallas out of Glynn Academy in Brunswick, Georgia, took to Twitter on Wednesday evening to announce his decision to decommit from the University of Georgia.
“After sitting down with my family and praying long and hard about this I have decided to decommit from the University of Georgia. I feel like I need a clean slate to evaluate each option and make sure that wherever I go whether it be UGA or any other school that it is a perfect match for me,” Dallas tweeted. “My de-commitment doesn’t mean that UGA isn’t an option anymore, it just means that I want to be sure that this is the right move for me as a person and as a player. Thank you & God Bless.”
Dallas enjoyed an outstanding junior campaign in leading Glynn Academy to the state championship game at the AAAAA classification. After starting the season as a wide receiver and defensive back, Dallas made the move to quarterback and led the Red Terrors to ten straight wins before falling in the title game.
Ranked as one of the top players nationally in his class, Dallas has received more than a dozen offers.
