nOffensive Player of the Week
nVMI quarterback Al Cobb passed for 391 yards and two touchdowns completing 28 of his 41 passes to lead VMI to a 28-21win over Mercer.xc2xa0 The Keydets win in Macon broke a 30 game road losing streak.xc2xa0
nDefensive Player of the Week
nWestern Carolina defensive lineman Caleb Hawkins helped lead a big Catamount defensive effort over Samford 56-36 in Cullowhee.xc2xa0 Hawkins had 8 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks and forced a fumble.
nSpecial Teams Player of the Week
nChattanoogaxe2x80x99s Henrique Riberio once again came through for the #5 ranked Mocs in a close game.xc2xa0 Following up last weekxe2x80x99s 4 field goal performance leading the Mocs to a win over VMI, Riberio came up huge again this week booting a 38 yard field goal as time expired giving the Mocs a 20-17 win over Wofford, their first in Spartanburg since 1998.
nX-Factor of the Week
nSamford redshirt freshman quarterback Devlin Hodges notched his first career start against Western Carolina completing 42-of-61 passes for 399 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. He also rushed for 94 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries as the Bulldogs fell on the road to Western Carolina 56-36.
nCoach of the Week
nVMI Coach Scott Wachenheim led the Keydets to their first road win since October 23rd, 2010, a streak of 30 straight losses beating Mercer 28-21. The Keydets also picked up their first SoCon win of the year.
