From Georgia Southern to the Senior Bowl to the NFL Combine, Kindle Vildor has thrived every step of the way.

On the NFL Draft radar for quite some time, Georgia Southern’s Kindle Vildor promptly went to the NFL Combine and validated all of the well-deserved attention. After starring as a shut-down corner for the Eagles, Vildor was one of the most impressive prospects in Indianapolis, showcasing an athleticism and fluidity that made him one of the most talked-about prospects at the event. Vildor, already well-established on team’s boards, is now rising — and, evaluating both his career and his combine, for good reason.

Though Vildor has recently become more of a national name, his play has long been worthy of such acclaim. Over the past three years at Georgia Southern, Vildor compiled 24 pass deflections and nine interceptions. He led the Sun Belt in passes defended and pass break-ups in 2018, helping the Eagles to one of the most dramatic single-season turnarounds in college football history. Vildor earned first-team all-conference honors as a junior, in a year coming with some All-American recognition, a and senior alike.

Vildor has a penchant for big plays and the big moment. Among other highlights, he recorded an interception at top-ranked Clemson, had a two-pick game against Appalachian State and grabbed another in his Georgia Southern finale against Liberty in the Cure Bowl. For good measure, Vildor, starring in Mobile alongside his teammate Tyler Bass at kicker, intercepted a pass from Michigan quarterback Shea Patterson in the Senior Bowl.

Having already made headlines in the pre-draft process, Vildor went to the NFL Combine and promptly made more. He tied for first in the cornerback class in doing 22 bench press repititions of 225 pounds, slotting second with an 11’1” broad jump and finishing third with a 39.5-inch vertical leap. Additionally, Vildor ranked in the top ten amongst all defensive players with a 4.44 forty yard dash time. Without question, he, boosting his draft stock, was one of the most impressive athletes at the combine.

At 5’10”, 191 pounds with elite measurables and accomplished credentials, Vildor is a standout at the cornerback position.

This rise, for Vildor, has been paint-by-number. Emerging as a player to watch in the Sun Belt, then nationally, he ultimately developed into one of the premier cover men in all of college football, then sustained the status quo. From Georgia Southern to the Senior Bowl to the NFL Combine, Vildor has thrived every step of the way. His resume is complete, with validation coming both on the field and in workouts.
