Bud Light Southern Power Poll (ACC, SEC, Sun Belt)
1. Alabama (2-0)
Quarterback Mac Jones threw for 435 yards and three receivers went over 100 yards as the Crimson Tide scored 52 points in a lopsided win over Texas A&M.
2. Clemson (3-0)
The great Travis Etienne continues to do it all. Making plays as a running back, he also topped the 100 yard mak receiving and caught two touchdowns vs Virginia.
3. Georgia (2-0)
This is the best defense in the country and it may not be close. The Bulldogs kept Auburn out of the endzone in the latest edition of their historic rivalry.
4. Florida (2-0)
Two games into this young season, quarterback Kyle Pitts already has ten touchdown passes and tight end Kyle Pitts has six touchdown receptions.
5. Miami (3-0)
The Hurricanes, fresh off a bye week, should be recharged and ready for their Saturday night showdown at top-ranked Clemson.
6. Notre Dame (2-0)
It still feels a little strange to talk about the Fighting Irish as an ACC football member, but Notre Dame is clearly one of the league’s top teams.
7. Auburn (1-1)
Offensively, the Tigers could not do anything at Georgia. That said, this remains a talented team and the win over Kentucky was impressive.
8. LSU (1-1)
It was a bounce-back performance for the Tigers in a comfortable win at Vanderbilt. The opening loss to Mississippi State still lingers, though.
9. North Carolina (2-0)
In a hard-fought game at Boston College, Trey Morrison picked off a potential game-tying two-point conversion attempt and took it the other way for a safety.
10. Tennessee (2-0)
Quite impressively, Jeremy Pruitt’s Volunteers have now won eight games in a row. Up next is a major test versus rival Georgia.
11. Virginia Tech (2-0)
Running back Khalil Herbert topped the 200-yard mark in a win over Duke. The Hokies are quietly a contender in the ACC.
12. Louisiana (3-0)
The season-opening victory at nationally-ranked Iowa State, who just beat Oklahoma, remains one of the best wins for any team this season.
