1. Clemson (4-0)
A showdown with Miami came with more of the same from the top-ranked Tigers, with Trevor Lawrence, Travis Etienne and the defense all starring once again.
2. Alabama (3-0)
The Crimson Tide were on the right side of a wild win over Ole Miss, one which resulted in the most ever total yards (1,370) and total points (111) for an SEC regulation game.
3. Georgia (3-0)
Boasting the best defense in the country, the Bulldogs did it again to end Tennessee’s eight-game winning streak, limiting the Volunteers to merely 214 total yards.
4. Notre Dame (3-0)
In just three games, the Fighting Irish have already compiled 812 rushing yards and 12 rushing touchdowns, all at at 6.29 yards per carry.
5. North Carolina (3-0)
In addition to Sam Howell and the playmakers out wide, the Tar Heels just rushed for 399 yards, with Michael Carter running for 214 and Javonte Williams running for 169.
6. Florida (2-1)
Though the Gators continue to produce offensively, especially in the passing game, defensive struggles cost Florida in a 41-38 loss to Texas A&M.
7. Texas A&M (2-1)
Jimbo Fisher got a signature win on Saturday with the Aggies’ upset of top five Florida as quarterback Kellen Mond had one of his best games.
8. Miami (3-1)
While the Hurricanes have still looked good this season, they were overwhelmed, as everyone else has been, against top-ranked Clemson on Saturday night.
9. Auburn (2-1)
Games for the Tigers sometimes get a little weird and the Arkansas game was no different with the controversial Bo Nix spike/fumble.
10. Tennessee (2-1)
A high-profile trip to Athens saw the Volunteers score early and hold a halftime lead before Georgia’s defense took over in the second half.
11. Louisiana (3-0)
The season-opening victory at nationally-ranked Iowa State, who beat Oklahoma, remains one of the best wins for any team this season.
12. NC State (3-1)
Consecutive victories at Pittsburgh and Virginia have given the Wolfpack considerable momentum entering the middle of October.
