Miami Rumored To Start Season At BC

CORAL GABLES, Fla. — The Miami Hurricanes could be starting the season on the road during Labor Day weekend for the second consecutive season.
According to the Boston Globe, the Hurricanes will play at Boston College, with the game likely scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 2 or Monday, Sept. 3. UM opened up the 2011 season in College Park, dropping the first game under head coach Al Golden 32-24 against Maryland.
Miami’s non-conference schedule for the upcoming season features a road game at Kansas State (Sept. 8), followed by a home contest versus Bethune-Cookman (Sept. 15), a neutral-site game against Notre Dame (Oct. 6) at Soldier Field in Chicago and at home versus South Florida (Nov. 24) on Thanksgiving weekend.
In addition to playing at BC, UM is set to host Virginia Tech, North Carolina, Florida State and NC State in the conference and will be on the road against Georgia Tech, Virginia and Duke. Miami dropped its season finale to the Eagles 24-17 at Sun Life Stadium. The ‘Canes finished 2011 with a 6-6 record.
