The Maxwell and Bednarik Awards are two of the most historic honors given out each year.

These two respective awards, the Maxwell and Bednarik, are two of the most historic honors given out each year. The Bednarik Award is given to the nations top defensive player; and the Maxwell given to the top player overall, although its typically given to offensive players. Here are the SEC players that made the preseason list.
