The Chicago Bulls lost another player to the New York Knicks, as Joakim Noah signed a four-year deal.
The Chicago Bulls lost another player, Joakim Noah, to the New York Knicks on July 1st. Noah had been with the Bulls for nine years, and when you think of the Bulls you picture Noahs high-octane energy. It also wasnt hard to spot Joakim on the court with his iconic hair pulled back in a bun.
In Bulls franchise history, Noah is fourth in rebounds and third in blocks. He agreed to a four-year deal worth $72 million, and he actually will be playing in his hometown of New York, New York. I will miss Joakims screaming after an awesome dunk or play, speaking his mind and firing up all of his teammates to excellence. I guess I will be following the Knicks too, but it will be weird when they play against my Bulls.
Guard Rajon Rondo, on Sunday, came to a verbal agreement with the Bulls to a two-year deal worth $28 million. The deal will not be official until Thursday when free agency comes to an end. I have been hearing Rondo has an overwhelming personality and that he has clashed with his coaches. This should be interesting with Rondo and Bulls head coach Fred Hoiberg together, because Hoiberg is not a tough, x9cno nonsensex9d kind of coach. He definitely is not a Tom Thibodeau-type that is constantly walking and yelling on the sideline. Hoiberg is not a take charge kind of coach, and hopefully thats just because last year was his first year coaching an NBA team.

The Dallas Cowboys went down another defensive player, although not due to an injury, on Thursday. Linebacker Rolando McClain was suspended the first 10 games of the season for violating the NFLs substance abuse policy. This is not the first time he has been suspended due to substance abuse. He missed the first four games last year due to the same problem. They make it sound not as bad by calling it x9csubstance abusex9d, but in most of the cases it is illegal drugs, and drugs dont magically get into your system.
I can see them giving McClain a second chance the first time for making the wrong choice, but do it again and you should be done. They really should not get another chance because the player knows they are not supposed to do something, so you dont do it. If the NFLs rules on substance abuse were stricter, they wouldnt violate the rules. Out of all the NFL players that actually follow the rules we dont hear anything about them, but when they violate the rules it is plastered all over the news. That actually goes for any kind of news: hardly ever anything positive to report.
Thats how I $ee itxa6.
