NFL fans have been forced to wait a few extra days for the return of football after a major mishap at the Hall of Fame Game.
We were all ready for the NFL Hall of Fame Game on Sunday night, but instead we didnt see a game at all. The Packers-Colts preseason game in Canton, Ohio, was canceled due to poor field conditions.
Where the paint on the playing surface was applied at midfield and the end zone, it became unsuitable for the players to play football. The paint started turning into a tar-like substance and later felt like concrete when walking on it. A source reported that the wrong paint was used on the surface before the game.
The field workers had many different pieces of equipment to try to get off the spectacular paint they used. With trying to get the paint off, they unintentionally brought up rubber pellets used in the turf and scattered them all over the field. What I would like to know is, what really are those rubber pellets made of? Most likely, we dont want to know. How can that be good for your health to breathe that in. Was there something wrong with the good old natural grass? In my opinion, if they had real grass, they could have cut out where the paint was and rolled out new sod.
So the way it sounds to me, the game was canceled because someone got the wrong paint. Also, who really cares if the field has a pretty logo to look at? Its not like youre going to be commenting on how wonderful the field looks. I prefer to watch the action of the football players on the field and not admire how good or bad the field looks.

The road race at Watkins Glen on Sunday marked Jeff Gordons 800th career start in Nascars premier series. This was also his 24th start at a 2.45 mile road course, and, on Thursday, Gordon turned 45 years old. Gordon becomes the ninth driver in Nascar history to hit 800 starts in stock cars top level. This was Gordons third consecutive race filling in for Dale Earnhardt, Jr. in the #88 car while he still recovers from concussion-related symptoms.
The Cheez-It 355 was won by Denny Hamlin in the #11, and it was his first win at a Nascar Sprint Cup Series road course. He also had an epic victory burnout at the end, and pretty much went the entire front stretch of the track. He definitely burned down the tires until he blew both tires, which made the track bar go all the way down on the ground. That made the car unable to drive to victory lane.
The next race is in two weeks at Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday, August 20th and Jeff Gordon will be racing again.
Thats how I $ee itxa6.
