Quick, Hatcher Cited for Marijuana

Louisville receiver James Quick and Kentucky defensive end Jason Hatcher were cited for misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
According to police reports obtained by The Courier-Journal of Louisville, a pair of Blue Grass State college football players has been cited for possession of marijuana.
Louisville receiver James Quick and Kentucky defensive end Jason Hatcher, former teammates at Trinity High School in Louisville, were both in Quicks apartment on the Louisville campus when police received a call complaining of a strong odor of marijuana coming from his room.
The officer who responded to the call found 39.5 grams of marijuana in Quicks possession, in addition to a digital scale and a marijuana grinder, which also led to a citation of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Hatcher was found to have 2.5 grams of marijuana in his pocket by the officer.
Both players offenses are considered to be misdemeanors in the state of Kentucky.
Neither school has released potential punishments for the respective players.
