According to a report from Safid Deen of the Orlando Sentinel, FSU quarterback Sean Maguire needs foot surgery and is expected to miss four weeks, which would rule him out for the opener against Ole Miss.
Florida State fans have been wondering for months which quarterback would start the team’s opener against Ole Miss.
It seems like there is no longer any reason to argue.
According to a report from Safid Deen of the Orlando Sentinel, quarterback Sean Maguire needs foot surgery and is expected to miss four weeks, which would rule him out for the opener against the Rebels.
The current thought is that Maguire could be back in time for the Seminoles’ second or third game, but it is extremely unlikely that he would be back in enough time to have adequate preparation for the opener.
With news of Maguire’s injury, redshirt freshman Deondre Francois is undoubtedly in line to make his first college start against the Rebels. Francois has been taken reps with the first team offense since Maguire went down with the injury.
