Members of the SouthernPigskin.com Staff release their weekly conference awards for week one in the ACC, SEC and SoCon.

ACC Offensive Player of the Week:  Riley Skinner, Wake Forest
ACC Defensive Player of the Week:  Michael Hamlin, Clemson
ACC Special Teams Player of the Week:  Sam Swank, Wake Forest
ACC Coach of the Week:  Paul Johnson, Georgia Tech
SouthernPigskin.com ACC X-Factor of the Week:  Riley Skinner, Wake Forest – Had another great game, completing 32 of 43 passes for 267 yards and two touchdowns.  After Ole Miss scored a go-ahead touchdown with one minute left, Skinner drove the Deacons’ down the field for a game-winning field goal by Sam Swank. 

SEC Offensive Player of the Week:  Knowshown Moreno, Georgia
SEC Defensive Player of the Week:  Patrick Benoist, Vanderbilt
SEC Special Teams Player of the Week:  Javier Arenas, Alabama
SEC Coach of the Week:  Bobby Johnson, Vanderbilt
SouthernPigskin.com SEC X-Factor of the Week: Chris Nickson, Vanderbilt – Made plays all evening long in the Commodores’ upset victory of 24th ranked South Carolina.  Was 8 of 13 passing and scored two touchdowns.  Made a number of plays, avoiding pressure, with his feet.

SoCon Offensive Player of the Week:  Robert Welton, App State
SoCon Defensive Player of the Week:  Travis Dowda, App State
SoCon Special Teams Player of the Week:  Karlos Sullivan, Elon
SoCon Coach of the Week:  Pete Lembo, Elon
SouthernPigskin.com SoCon X-Factor of the Week:  Antoinio Henton, Georgia Southern – Scored three touchdowns in the fourth quarter to give Georgia Southern the victory over Austin Peay.  Stepped up in clutch moments late in the game and showed the ability to make plays both running the football and throwing the football.
