Brad Stewart had an exceptional senior season for Benedictine Military School, hauling in 68 receptions for 1,394 yards and 18 touchdowns, while adding eight interceptions on defense.
Less than 24 hours after finally receiving a regular scholarship offer from Georgia Tech, 2015 wide receiver prospect Brad Stewart out of Benedictine Military School has officially committed to the Yellow Jackets.
Stewart took to his Twitter account, @Stewart10Brad, to announce his decision: “As of now, I am glad to announce I have officially committed to Georgia Tech. #yellowjackets”
The six-foot-one playmaker originally receiver a grayshirt offer from the Yellow Jackets, meaning that he would have had to wait until January to enroll in Atlanta had he accepted the offer.
But with some late-breaking changes to Georgia Tech’s recruiting class, a spot opened up for head coach Paul Johnson to make the call to Stewart to offer him a regular scholarship to enroll this summer.
Stewart has widely been considered one of the most underrated prospects in the class of 2015. He put together an outstanding senior campaign in leading the Cadets to a state championship, hauling in 68 receptions for 1,394 yards and 18 touchdowns, while adding eight interceptions on defense.
In choosing the Yellow Jackets, Stewart becomes the 27th commitment in Georgia Tech’s 2015 class. He chose the Yellow Jackets over offers from Appalachian State, Furman, Georgia Southern, Mercer and Yale.
