Landon Turner, a massive 6’5 300 pound offensive tackle from Harrisonburg Va. High School is a wanted man. How wanted? Wanted enough to have his pick of schools from all across the country.
A You Tube sensation because of his 9th grade highlight video, Turner has drawn the praises from fans, coaches and scouting services for the past two years. Getting attention from Georgia, Florida, Virginia Tech, LSU, West Virginia, Maryland, East Carolina, North Carolina and Stanford among many others, Turner is an outstanding student as well as gifted athlete carrying over a 3.5 GPA. And his football bloodlines are equally impressive and run deep with a father West Turner who starred at West Virginia and an uncle Jim Braxton who was the lead blocker for O.J. Simpson during his years of rushing titles with the Buffalo Bills.
Landon recently chimed in on the SouthernPigskin.com Facebook Page about how his spring has gone and what his plans are for the summer.
“Well I have been to the UVA and VT spring games. I’m headed to Morgantown for the WVU spring game this weekend. For camps I’m planning on attending UNC, VT, and WVU. Recruiting is fine; I’m just tryin to focus on finishing out the school year,” said Turner.
Judging by Turner’s summer camp schedule it looks like he’s narrowing his schools.
“He’s focusing on finishing up strong in school and looking around some this summer,” said West Turner.
