Zach Quinney will fit right in at Georgia Tech, on and off the field.
Zach Quinney will fit right in at Georgia Tech, on and off the field.
The 6’5″ offensive tackle, out of Savannah Christian, ought to fit right in from the minute he steps on campus.
Even the academic rigors aren’t cause for concern with the big protector.
“The academic part of it was huge for me,” Quinney stated. “You can’t go to many places like Georgia Tech, and compete in the ACC, so everything about it was just great.”
As far as getting used to the college game, Quinney is equally confident in his ability to adapt.
“Well, we run the exact same plays (in high school), so that should help me out a lot,” Quinney tol the Southern Pigskin Radio Network. “Just transitioning from the offense, it gets a little bit faster, but other than that its the same exact plays and everything so I should be able to transition well.”
The Raider alum, and pupil under former Georgia Bulldog Donald Chumley, is one of the most technically sound recruits in the southeast, with an unparalleled work ethic and desire to improve.
“I just cant wait to get up there and start working hard, get ready for the season, take some classes and have a good time,” Quinney concluded.
For as much as this big guy will feel at home in Atlanta, Georgia Tech’s quarterbacks will feel at home behind him, for the next few years.
