Bud Light Southern Power Poll (ACC, SEC, Sun Belt)
Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Florida, Notre Dame, Texas A&M, Miami, North Carolina, Virginia Tech, Coastal Carolina, NC State, Louisiana
1. Alabama (4-0)
As usual, the Crimson Tide looked the part on the big stage, outgaining third-ranked Georgia by 150 yards and controlling the second half in a top three showdown.
2. Clemson (5-0)
The Tigers scored 73 points against Georgia Tech on Saturday, with quarterback Trevor Lawrence completing 24-of-32 passes for 404 yards and five touchdowns.
3. Georgia (3-1)
There is no shame in losing at Alabama, though the Bulldogs have to be disappointed after a strong performance in the first half turned into a multi-score defeat.
4. Notre Dame (5-0)
Passing production was hard to come by, but Kyren Williams ran the football well again and the Fighting Irish were great defensively in holding Louisiville to 12 points.
5. Florida (2-1)
The Gators’ contest with LSU was postponed due to covid and rescheduled for Saturday, December 12th, the week before the SEC Championship Game.
6. Texas A&M (3-1)
Defensively, the Aggies held Mississippi State to just 219 yards passing and 15 first downs and, on offense, Isaiah Spiller remains productive in the running game.
7. Miami (4-1)
Quarterback D’Eriq King threw four touchdown passes and the Hurricanes recorded nine tackles for loss in a comfortable win over Pitt.
8. Virginia Tech (3-1)
Running back Khalil Herbert is on a historic run, leading all of college football with 592 rushing yards at a remarkable 9.7 yards per carry.
9. North Carolina (3-1)
A dramatic three-point loss at Florida State hurts, but the Tar Heels did manage to outscore the Seminoles 21-0 in the second half.
10. Kentucky (2-2)
The Wildcats won at Tennessee for the first time since 1984, with the defense, now second nationally in interceptions, continuing to dominate.
11. NC State (4-1)
Winners of three games in a row, the Wolfpack have scored at least 30 points in each of those games and have not scored fewer than 24 points all season.
12. Coastal Carolina (4-0)
The Chanticleers are in the national polls and for good reason as a late field goal from Massimo Biscardi gave Coastal Carolina a statement win over ranked Louisiana.
Others receiving votes: Arkansas, Louisiana
