The Crimson Tide made it 14 consecutive wins over Tennessee, with three more rushing touchdowns for Najee Harris, who now has a national-best 14.
2. Clemson (6-0)
Up just six points over Syracuse late in the third quarter, the Tigers promptly scored three touchdowns in 5:41 of game time to pull away.
3. Georgia (3-1)
Before a showdown with Florida in Jacksonville next Saturday, the Bulldogs must first get past Kentucky and its standout defense.
4. Notre Dame (5-0)
The Fighting Irish had their best performance of the season, beating Pittsburgh 45-3 in an especially-validating performance.
5. Florida (2-1)
Georgia looms, but the Gators have to deal with suddenly hot and on-the-rise Missouri ahead of Jacksonville’s big stage.
6. Texas A&M (3-1)
Running back Isaiah Spiller is one of just three four players nationally with at least 400 rushing yards and averaging over 6.7 yards per carry.
7. Miami (5-1)
It got tight late, but the defense stood tall as the Hurricanes got it done for yet another victory, this time against Virginia.
8. North Carolina (4-1)
The Tar Heels bounced back with a convincing win over NC State, with Michael Carter and Javonte Williams still running the ball incredibly well.
9. Auburn (3-2)
Once again, the Tigers won in close, controversial fashion, topping Ole Miss ahead of a big game with defending national champion LSU.
10. Coastal Carolina (5-0)
The undefeated Chanticleers just keep on rolling as reserve quarterback Fred Payton just helped Coastal Carolina top Georgia Southern.
11. Louisiana (4-1)
Don’t forget about about the Ragin’ Cajuns, who have lost only to Coastal Carolian at the buzzer, and have a week one triumph over ranked Iowa State.
12. Boston College (4-2)
First year head coach Jeff Hafley quietly continues to have success with the Eagles, who now get their try with Clemson.
