The SEC’s top performers during week seven.
Offensive Player of the Week: Lynn Bowden, Kentucky — Despite usually playing receiver, Bowden, at quarterback, completed 7/11 passes for 78 yards, added another 196 rushing yards on 24 carries, and scored three total touchdowns, leading Kentucky over Arkansas 24-20.
Defensive Player of the Week: Israel Mukuamu, South Carolina — Picked off Jake Fromm three times, one of which was returned for a score, in the Gamecocks’ massive upset at Georgia.
Special Teams Player of the Week: Ale Kaho, Alabama — Blocked his second punt of the year, which was returned for a touchdown, in Alabama’s 47-28 win at Texas A&M.
Coach of the Week: Will Muschamp, South Carolina — Led his Gamecocks to a road upset of #3 Georgia, handing the Bulldogs their first home loss since 2016.
X-Factor of the Week: Bryan Edwards, South Carolina — Was on the receiving end of South Carolina’s lone offensive touchdown in the upset of Georgia, totaling 78 yards on six catches in the process.
