The week two award winners in the Southern Conference.

SoCon Offensive Player of the Week: Jordan Snellings, Furman – Caught five passes for a career-high 111 yards in a 25-20 win at Mercer.

SoCon Defensive Player of the Week: Dee Virgin, Chattanooga — Recorded eight solo tackles, a tackle for loss, two pass break ups and a 55-yard interception return for a touchdown in a 26-23 loss to Jacksonville State.

SoCon Special Teams Player of the Week: Jon Croft Hollingsworth, Furman – Converted 4-of-5 field goal tries, including a 50-yarder, and downed one punt inside the 20-yard line in a 25-20 win over Mercer.

SoCon Coach of the Week: Mike Houston The Citadel — The Bulldogs ran for the 250 yards, the highest-total versus the Seminoles since 2009, and outscored FSU 12-9 in the second half in a 37-12 loss to Florida State.

SoCon X-Factor of the Week: Gary Wilkins, Furman – Compiled ten total tackles, a pass break up and a 19-yard interception return for a touchdown in a 25-20 win at Mercer.
