The week three award winners in the Southern Conference.

nSoCon Offensive Player of the Week: Al Cobb, VMI – Threw for 338 yards and a touchdown while completing 72% of his passes in a 52-24 win over the Davidson Wildcats.

nSoCon Defensive Player of the Week: Lee Bennett, Mercer – Led the bears with seven tackles and snagged the first interception of his college career in a 49-0 shutout of the Stetson Hatters.

nSoCon Special Teams Player of the Week: Tommy Hudson, Chattanooga – Returned three punts for for 65 yards, including an electrifying 58-yard return for a touchdown in a 42-6 victory against Austin Peay.

nSoCon Coach of the Week: Pat Sullivan, Samford – Sullivan’s Bulldogs had 492 yards of total offense and did not allow a single point in their 52-0 blowout versus the Stillman Tigers.

nSoCon X-Factor of the Week: Alex Lakes, Mercer – Ran for 151 yards and scoredxc2xa0three touchdownsxc2xa0on only 13 carries, and caught one pass for 14 yards in a 49-0 win over Stetson.
