nSoCon Offensive Player of the Week:xc2xa0Devlin Hodges, QB, Samford — Hodges was 35 of 50 with 453 yards and five touchdowns in the Bulldogsxe2x80x99 55-21 win over VMI.
nSoCon Defensive Player of the Week:xc2xa0Chinedu Okonya, DE, Furman — Okonya led the Paladin defense with eight tackles and two sacks, helping Furman pick up its first win of 2016, 52-7 over ETSU.
nSoCon Special Teams Player of the Week:xc2xa0Cody Clark, K, The Citadel — Clark hit a 37-yard field goal as time expired in the first half to give the Bulldogs a 17-14 lead, and then sealed the win with 24 seconds left by hitting a 32-yarder to extend the lead to 22-14.xc2xa0
nSoCon Coach of the Week:xc2xa0Brent Thompson, The Citadel — The Citadel improved to 6-0 and Thompson has the Bulldogs on top of the SoCon standings in his first season.xc2xa0
nSoCon X-factor of the Week:xc2xa0Dominique Allen, QB, The Citadel — Allen rushed for 135 yards on 31 carries, with two touchdowns, to help The Citadel remain undefeated, defeating Chattanooga 22-14.
