The week eight Southern Pigskin award winners in the Southern Conference.

nSoCon Offensive Player of the Week: Carlos Davis, Western Carolina — Completed 31-of-40 passes for 401 yards and three touchdowns in the Catamounts’ 45-31 win over The Citadel.

nSoCon Defensive Player of the Week: Joe Beckett, Wofford — Compiled eight total tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, one sack, one forced fumble and a 55-yard fumble return for a touchdown in the Terriers’ 45-14 loss to Mercer.

nSoCon Special Teams Player of the Week: Timmy Bleekrode, Furman — Converted 2-of-2 field goal attempts, with a long of 45 yards, in the Paladins’ 17-13 loss to East Tennessee State.

nSoCon Coach of the Week: Rusty Wright, Chattanooga — The Mocs outgained Samford 492 yards to 200 and forced four turnovers in their 55-13 win over Samford.

nSoCon X-Factor of the Week: Malik Murray, East Tennessee State — Caught the game-winning 3-yard touchdown pass from Tyler Riddell with nine seconds remaining in the Bucs’ 17-13 win over Furman.
