The week five Southern Pigskin award winners for the Southern Conference.

nSoCon Offensive Player of the Week: Fred Davis, Mercer — Ran 28 times for 276 yards and five touchdowns, adding a 22-yard reception, in the Bears’ 45-42 win over Samford.

nSoCon Defensive Player of the Week: Destin Mack, The Citadel — Recorded five total tackles, a tackle for loss, a pass break-up and a fourth quarter interception in the Bulldogs’ 35-24 win over VMI.

nSoCon Special Teams Player of the Week: Chance Knox, VMI — Had an 84-yard kickoff return in the Keydets’ 35-24 loss to The Citadel.

nSoCon Coach of the Week: Brent Thompson, The Citadel — The Bulldogs compiled 477 yards of total offense in reclaming the Silver Shako in their 35-24 win over VMI.

nSoCon X-Factor of the Week: Quay Holmes, East Tennessee State — Rushed 20 times for 81 yards and a touchdown and caught four passes for 101 yards and a score, a 77-yard go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter included.
