nOffensive Player of the Week: VMI running back Alex Ramsey scored all 6 of the Keydets touchdowns, including a 25-yard game winning run in overtime, in a 48-41 overtime win over Samford.xc2xa0 Ramsey rushed for 163 yards on 37 carries and added 6 receptions for 27 yards for VMI.xc2xa0 The Salem, Virginia, native earned school records in single game points scored (36), most touchdowns scored (6), most touchdowns responsible for (6) and most rushing touchdowns (6).
nDefensive Player of the Week: Samford defensive lineman Brett Granger notched 6 tackles, 1 sack and 2 tackles for loss in the Bulldogs 48-41 overtime loss to VMI.xc2xa0
nSpecial Teams Player of the Week: VMI kicker Grant Clemons made both of his field goals for the Keydets in their overtime win over Samford 48-41.xc2xa0 Clemons kicked a 33-yard field goal early in the 4th quarter to get VMI to within 7 points and then boomed a 56 yarder as time expired to force overtime.xc2xa0
nCoach of the Week: VMI coach Scott Wachemheim led the Keydets to their first win ever over Samford 48-41 in overtime.xc2xa0 The win for VMI was their 4th of the season, the most wins in a season since the 2008 campaign when The Keydets finished 4-7.xc2xa0xc2xa0xc2xa0

nX Factor of the Week: Citadel quarterback Brandon Rainey accounted for all 5 of the Bulldogs touchdowns to lead the Bulldogs to a 35-17 win over Western Carolina.xc2xa0 Rainey completed 3 of his 5 passes for 73 yards and three touchdowns to go along with 87 rushing yards on 18 carries with two touchdowns on the ground as well
