Kevin Ellisons comeback, along with the momentum the Eagles have gained, earned them a 15.5-point spread as the favorite for the upcoming game against the Idaho Vandals.

The first two weeks of the 2015 campaign gave Georgia Southern Eagles fans mixed feelings about the remainder of the season, but most could agree on their excitement for the starting quarterback to return to the gridiron.

While Favian Upshaw had a great performance against Western Michigan, fans were still eager to see the quarterback that led the Eagles to a conference championship out on the field again. In short, they were waiting with bated breath for the return of Kevin Ellison.

The good news for Georgia Southern fans is that, against The Citadel, not only did Ellison return, he delivered. Rushing for two touchdowns, Ellison led the Eagles to a blowout victory against the Bulldogs on Saturday.

Rushing for 383 yards total, the Eagles were also able to out-pass the Bulldogs, throwing for 101 yards thanks to both Ellison and Upshaw. The Eagles continue to build each week, as it appears that Ellison elevates Upshaws game.

Ellisons comeback, along with the momentum the Eagles have gained, earned them a 15.5-point spread as the favorite for the upcoming game against the Idaho Vandals.

Traveling to Moscow, Idaho, the Eagles begin conference play this weekend with a couple of wins now under their wings. While the home-field advantage did the Eagles very well, their momentum, focus, and the return of Kevin Ellison has the potential to thrust them to the top of the Sun Belt “one more time”.
