Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week: Josh Johnson, Louisiana-Monroe — Ran 22 times for 114 yards and two touchdowns in the Warhawks’ 24-14 win over Texas State.
Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Week: Akeem Davis-Gaither, Appalachian State — Recorded ten total tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and a half-sack in the Mountaineers’ 17-7 win over Louisiana.
Sun Belt Special Teams Player of the Week: Rhys Byrns, Louisiana — Punted six times for 296 yards, an average of 49.3 yards per attempt, in the Ragin’ Cajuns’ 17-7 loss to Appalachian State.
Sun Belt Coach of the Week: Eli Drinkwitz, Appalachian State — The Mountaineers outgained Louisiana by nearly 100 total yards in a 17-7 win over the Ragin’ Cajuns in a rematch of last season’s Sun Belt Conference Championship Game.
Sun Belt X-Factor of the Week: Zac Thomas, Appalachian State — Completed 11-of-17 passes for 147 yards and ran for 63 yards and two touchdowns in the Mountaineers’ 17-7 win over Louisiana.
