Previewing week six in the Sun Belt.
This weeks Sun Belt slate features three non-conference matchups and two conference games.
The first game of the day pits New Mexico State against Ole Miss. The game will kickoff at noon, from Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, in Oxford, Mississippi. The 0-4(0-2) Aggies go on the road as 43.5 point underdogs.
Appalachian State makes its conference debut against Georgia State, in the Georgia Dome, at 3:30. The Panthers are 1-3 on the year, but their one win came in their lone conference game, thus far, versus New Mexico State. The Mountaineers should win this one going away, if they play well defensively and limit their opponents big plays.
The third game of the day will see Troy travel to Starkville, Mississippi, to take on the Mississippi State Bulldogs. Mississippi State is favored to beat the Trojans by 30.5 points.
Louisiana Monroe travels to Tulsa, this weekend, to try to rebound after losing its first conference game of the season by three scores to Georgia Southern. The Warhawks will have their hands full, but this is a winnable game. Tulsa is favored by nine, but I smell a potential upset.
The final Sun Belt game of the day features Texas State and the Louisiana Ragin Cajuns, which will be each of these teams conference openers. The Bobcats go on the road as 3.5 point underdogs to Louisiana. Expect a high scoring, offensive battle, that could come down to whoever has the ball last.
